On May 7, 2025, Hawaiian Airlines is celebrating the upcoming live-action Lilo & Stitch movie, set to premiere on May 23, with a vibrant tribute in the skies. The airline has unveiled a special Airbus A330 featuring Stitch alongside the iconic Pualani design, the first of three aircraft showcasing unique Stitch-themed liveries. Next week, an Airbus A321 adorned with Stitch’s artistic flair will debut, followed by a Boeing 717 next month.

Partnering with Disney, Hawaiian Airlines is highlighting a central theme of the film: the importance of ‘ohana (family). The airline prides itself on welcoming travelers with aloha and making them feel part of its extended family. Alisa Onishi, director of brand and culture at Hawaiian Airlines, expressed that the airline hopes visitors experience a warm reception from the moment they step onboard, much like how Lilo embraced Stitch. Additionally, Stitch is taking on the role of Travel Pono ambassador, appearing in an augmented reality experience and an in-flight video that teaches travelers how to be thoughtful guests in Hawaii.
