Airbus A321neo

On January 8, 2018, Hawaiian Airlines launched its first Airbus A321neo on the Kahului-Oakland route, marking the arrival of its new fleet of single-aisle aircraft.

Designed for West Coast-to-Hawaii routes, the A321neo enables direct flights to more island destinations, starting with service to Maui, Kauai, and Kona.

The aircraft accommodates 189 passengers, featuring 16 plush leather recliners in the Premium Cabin, 44 Extra Comfort seats in premium economy, and 128 Economy seats.

Throughout the cabin, textiles and materials reflect traditional Hawaiian craftsmanship, from bark cloth (kapa) and fishing net-inspired designs to sand-toned wall panels and Hawaiian-language signage. LED mood lighting enhances the ambiance, mimicking the warm hues of island sunrises and sunsets.

Passengers benefit from USB charging ports and expanded overhead storage for added convenience.

Powered by Pratt & Whitney PurePower Geared Turbofan (GTF) engines and boasting advanced aerodynamics, the A321neo stands out as the quietest and most fuel-efficient aircraft in its class, reducing fuel consumption and carbon emissions by 16% compared to previous-generation jets.
