Hawaii Aviation

The Japanese attacks on Pearl Harbor and the Philippines in December 1941 highlighted the power of aviation and the strategic value of remote airfields. These early actions marked the beginning of a Pacific campaign where island and carrier-based air power played a central role in turning the tide of the war. Many aircrafts were deployed and destroyed throughout the duration of the war.
